RESTRAINING
ORDERS |
|
Domestic Violence Restraining Orders are issued by the court when one party has
inflicted violence upon the other party or reasonably believes the other party
will inflict violence upon them. A determination that domestic violence has
occurred will trigger very serious repercussions including criminal and civil
liability, a presumption that the perpetrator should have no custody of their
child for five years, no ability to contact the other party, loss of the right
to own a firearm, etc. We have a significant amount of experience representing
both the party seeking the restraining order and the side defending against the
same. To discuss your rights, call us immediately as these type of cases are
dealt with on an emergency basis. |
